This presentation explores the journey from computational assessments of molecular neural activity to real-world examples of population-level measurements, such as EEG. We will showcase 3D virtual models of neuronal structures, demonstrating the progression from micro to macro scales. This includes detailed single-neuron multicompartmental models and the propagation of signals within neurons, specifically focusing on the murine hippocampus. We will then discuss population models that describe the synchronized activity of groups of neurons observable as EEG signals. These computational models are valuable tools used by neurologists to study neuron population activity in both healthy and diseased states.
